The gospel song minister, Neon Adejo who is currently signed to Black Century Music penned a short epistle to the upcoming gospel artistes with an intention of re-orientating them about having a hit song as a gospel music minister. Below is what he shared:
Dear Gospel Artist (majorly upcoming)
No spiritually sensitive minister/Gospel Artist, goes into the studio with the mindset of creating a hit….Every sound serves a purpose.
If you are spiritual enough to tap into the realms of spiritual sound, your voice or song might be the next voice for revival, provided it falls into alignment with what God is doing in that season or era.
But before this happens, you must purge yourself off every hit song mentality and completely yield to the directions of the spirit.
Our inspiration is the Holy Spirit and he knows who and who to lead at a particular time and who will take over afterwards.
We don’t compete, we complete.
Do you think Neon is right or wrong? kindly share your thoughts in the comment section.
